About Cascade Retreats
We're a family of short-term rentals woven into the fabric of Oregon's most beloved landscapes — the rushing emerald waters of the McKenzie River corridor and the lush Willamette Valley around Eugene and Springfield. Each property is chosen for its connection to the land, its comfort, and its ability to slow you down in the best possible way.
Whether you're here for the whitewater, the wineries, the old-growth trails, or simply to breathe mountain air and watch the fog lift from the ridgeline — there's a retreat waiting for you.

Guest Stories
"Woke up to mist rising from the river, coffee in hand, deer in the yard. There is no better morning in Oregon. We've already booked again for fall."
"The cabin was immaculate, the hosts were incredibly thoughtful, and the McKenzie River right outside was everything we'd hoped. Pure Pacific Northwest magic."
"Eugene was the perfect base — we explored the farmers market, did the Pre's Trail run, and then came back to a beautifully appointed retreat. Can't wait to return."
🌲 McKenzie River Corridor, Oregon
Ancient forest, volcanic geology, spring-fed rivers of impossible blue-green. Oregon's wildest accessible corridor.
The McKenzie River
The McKenzie River originates at Clear Lake, where a 3,000-year-old lava flow dammed an ancient river and now keeps the water an otherworldly 34°F year-round — so clear you can see to the bottom. The river rushes through old-growth Douglas fir and western red cedar forests, past covered bridges, and through volcanic formations unlike anywhere else on earth.
Our rentals are clustered around the communities of Blue River, McKenzie Bridge, and Vida — giving you quick river access and true forest immersion, with a short drive to Eugene's amenities when you need them.

🌿 Willamette Valley, Oregon
University culture, farm-to-table abundance, trail running heritage, and the Cascades rising just beyond the valley rim.
The Valley
Eugene is a city shaped by its relationship with the outdoors — famously the birthplace of Nike and the spiritual home of American distance running. Springfield sits just across the Willamette, with its own distinct working-class character and quick access to the river system. Together, they form a base camp for everything the Willamette Valley and Cascade Range have to offer.
Guests find themselves equal parts relaxed and inspired — morning runs on the river path, afternoons at a Pinot Noir tasting room, evenings at a farm-to-table restaurant where the chef knows the farmer by name.
